1从前有十二个哥哥。妹妹出生后，他们住进林中小屋，每天为彼此准备干果和毯子。Once there were twelve brothers. After their little sister was born, they lived in a forest cabin, packing nuts and blankets for one another.
2妹妹长大了，循着鸟鸣找到小屋。她轻轻敲门：「我是你们的妹妹，我来帮忙。」When the sister grew older, she followed bird songs to the cabin. She knocked softly: "I am your sister—I came to help."
3哥哥们又惊喜又高兴。妹妹缝补衣服，哥哥们教她认星星，日子暖洋洋。The brothers are surprised and glad. She mends clothes; they teach her the stars. Days feel warm.
4一天全家团聚。爸爸妈妈拥抱孩子们，十二个哥哥和妹妹手拉手转圈唱歌。One day the whole family reunites. Mom and Dad hug the children; the twelve brothers and their sister join hands and sing in a circle.
