1天有点晚了，孩子从外婆家往回走，手里握着一根轻轻的榛树条。It is a little late. A child walks home from Grandma's, holding a light hazel branch.
2小路有点暗，他有点紧张。树上的小鸟唱：「别怕，我们陪你。」The path is dim and the child feels nervous. Birds in the trees sing, "Don't worry—we're with you."
3他把榛树条轻轻点地，「嗒嗒」像小鼓点；萤火虫亮起一盏盏小灯。The child taps the hazel branch softly on the ground—"tap tap" like a tiny drum. Fireflies light little lamps.
4家门口的灯亮了，妈妈开门笑着接他。他说：「榛树条、小鸟和萤火虫，一起送我回家。」The porch light is on. Mom opens the door with a smile. The child says, "The hazel branch, the birds, and the fireflies walked me home."
