1汉斯干完活，老板给他一大块金子。他扛着金子走，觉得有点沉。After work Hans gets a big lump of gold. He carries it and finds it a bit heavy.
2路上他换了马、牛、猪、鹅。每换一次，汉斯都拍拍手：这样更轻松，真幸运！Along the way he trades for a horse, a cow, a pig, then a goose. Each time Hans claps: Lighter—what luck!
3最后他只剩一块磨石，滚进了井里。汉斯哈哈笑：双手空空，走路最轻快。At last only a grindstone remains, and it rolls into a well. Hans laughs: Empty hands make the easiest walk.
4他跑回家，妈妈开门就抱住他。汉斯说：我带回了好心情。He runs home; Mom hugs him at the door. Hans says: I brought home a happy heart.
