1格蕾特是厨房小能手。她烤好两只金黄小鸡，香味飘满屋子。Gretel is a kitchen star. She roasts two golden chickens; the smell fills the house.
2客人还没到，格蕾特先尝一小口。哎呀太好吃，她笑着又尝了一点。Guests are not here yet, so Gretel tastes a tiny bite. Oh so good—she laughs and tastes a bit more.
3客人来时，鸡已经吃完啦。格蕾特机智地说：我们一起再烤新的，顺便讲笑话！When the guest arrives, the chickens are gone. Clever Gretel says: let's roast new ones together—and tell jokes!
4大家边烤边笑。新鸡出炉，香气更足，主人和客人都夸格蕾特又聪明又有趣。Everyone laughs while they cook. Fresh chickens come out even tastier, and all praise Gretel for being smart and fun.
