1一位善良的士兵遇见绿衣老人。老人递来一件熊皮外套：穿上它，去做三件好事，再守信等三年。A kind soldier meets a green-clad elder. The elder gives a bearskin coat: wear it, do three good deeds, and keep your promise for three years.
2士兵穿上软软的熊皮，帮迷路的孩子回家，给饥饿的人送面包，还替老人修篱笆。In the soft bearskin, the soldier helps a lost child home, brings bread to hungry people, and mends an elder's fence.
3他答应一位姑娘：三年后我一定回来。姑娘也守信等待，每天在窗边织围巾。He promises a girl: I will return in three years. She keeps her word too, weaving a scarf by the window each day.
4三年到了，士兵脱掉熊皮，洗得干干净净。绿衣老人微笑点头，姑娘跑来拥抱他，两人开心地牵手回家。When three years end, the soldier takes off the bearskin and cleans up. The elder smiles, the girl runs to hug him, and they happily walk home hand in hand.
