1摆渡人每天送人过河。他有时着急，船桨哗啦哗啦响。A ferryman takes people across the river every day. Sometimes he hurries, and the oars splash loudly.
2河对岸住着一位隐士。隐士教他：慢慢划，再给过河的人一个微笑。A hermit lives on the other bank. The hermit teaches him: row slowly, and give each traveler a smile.
3摆渡人照着做。船稳了，客人也开心了。The ferryman tries it. The boat feels steady, and the guests feel happy.
4他们成了忘年交。摆渡人说：耐心和微笑，能交到最好的朋友。They become dear friends of different ages. The ferryman says: Patience and smiles make the best friends.
