1小女孩卡伦得到一双鲜红的舞鞋。她穿上，轻轻转了两圈，心里好高兴。Little Karen gets a pair of bright red dance shoes. She spins twice and feels so happy.
2她想一直跳下去。脚踝有点酸，好朋友提醒：跳舞开心，也要歇一歇。She wants to keep dancing. Her ankles feel tired; a friend reminds her: Dancing is fun, and resting helps too.
3卡伦把红鞋擦得亮亮的，放进鞋盒休息。她换上舒服的鞋子去散步。Karen polishes the red shoes and lets them rest in the box. She walks in comfy shoes instead.
4节日来了，她再穿红鞋跳一支短舞。大家鼓掌。卡伦知道：珍惜，也要有分寸。On a festival day she wears the red shoes for one short dance. Everyone claps. Karen learns: Treasure things, and use them wisely.
